KEL Yates artist
Kel is a multidisciplinary artist whose purpose and aim is to increase accessibility to arts practice by advocating for and facilitating the healing potential of art making and creative living. Kel currently facilitates art experiences in Meanjin/Brisbane with a focus on authentic expression, presence and connection.
Kel has qualifications and experience in art therapy, communications, counselling, yoga, meditation and community art facilitation. Her own practice focuses on materiality and process, exploring the interaction between the artist’s body and the mediums through the act of creating. This relationship transforms the process into an intersubjective healing space revealing freedom and authentic expression. Kel is most passionate about how this can be of benefit to others and the community
